Who remembers Progress Quest? Anyone? It was a fun, free game where all you had to do was create a character and read. That was it. Progress Quest literally played itself. The human participation was observation only. The text game would run on its own and a small blurb at the bottom would tell you what silly things your hero was fighting and looting and what bizarre items they had equipped on their person. The game was funny and had quite an underground fan base.

In case you missed it, on Wednesday I announced that the next Vote Your Adventure will begin on October 7. Hooray!

I don’t plan the stories in advance so there’s not much insight I can provide right now. The next setting will be inside one of the underground cities. Also, as I said on Wednesday, this story will be a bit more involved than “Site 27″ and “The Relic”. I don’t want to drag our adventures out unnecessarily, but I’m going for something more involved this time, which will probably mean a longer story.

I apologize for my absence, gang. While we were wrapping up “Site 27″, I was going through a few things that threw my schedule into a tailspin. That’s why some of the last chapters came late on Fridays, rather than first thing in the morning. (Sorry about that.) The deal was, my husband received a new job offer and we relocated, very suddenly, back to Seattle. It was sudden because he said he could start in 4 weeks.

Did I mention we were living in Upstate New York? For our non-North American friends, the two cities are on exact opposite sides of the country, 2600 miles apart.
