The Fourth Channel RELEASE! (and How You Can Help)

I’m excited to announce that my debut novel, THE FOURTH CHANNEL, has been released as an ebook at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble! (A paperback version is coming in the next month. I’ll keep you posted.) This project has been a long time coming and I’m thrilled to finally see it done. The acknowledgments page even has a little shout-out to you guys because, without your support and interaction, I wouldn’t have been so excited—or driven—to publish.

Over the last year and a half, a lot of you have asked how you can offer support. The most obvious way is to purchase a copy of the book. It’s $3.99 USD. If you enjoy this website and all the fun freebies here, please pick up a copy. It would mean a lot to me, not to mention encourage me to keep going with this blog.

Something else that would help is to leave a review. Or, if you’re naturally reticent, to simply leave a rating. Please be honest in your review. Don’t just leave me a five-star rating because you’re afraid I’m going to find you and “Jello” your keyboard. Even if the review is a mediocre one, having more reviews overall is better than having none. My goal is to have 15 reviews on Amazon, 5 on Barnes & Noble, and 20 on Goodreads. (With Goodreads reviews, I usually just copy and paste whatever review I left on Amazon or B&N.) So please go and leave a little feedback about the book. It would mean a lot to me.

There are also free ways you can help! (You know how much I love free stuff!) If you have an account on Amazon.com, you can click the “Like Button” on my book’s page and also on my author page. The more “Likes” I have, the more recommendations and visibility my book will receive.

To find my author page, click on the below image. The “Like Button” is located on the right side.

My mug only has two likes.

And lastly, you can support me by sticking around this website. I know the blog has been a little lackluster while I wrapped up the book, and I apologize for that. It’s going to change starting today.

I have exciting new ideas for this coming year. We’re going to continue the Sci-Fi Pinups, do more satire (you guys really seemed to enjoy that Cookie Monster post), start a new VYA battle with horror/comedy writer Mark Lidstone, and a lot more. I’m even going to start doing giveaways! I’ve wanted to do giveaways for a long time but couldn’t figure out a funny way to have everyone enter the contest. Simply asking you all to leave a comment as your entry seems kind of lame and doesn’t really fit our quirky style here at JenKirchner.com. But now I know how to hold these contests—and I think you’re going to love it. Bottom line: the content this coming year is going to be better than ever and I can’t wait to get started.

I’m challenging myself to blog twice weekly between now and the end of January. I even have a set schedule of what will be posted. You’ll see new stuff from me Mondays and Fridays. (Hopefully!) I want this schedule to become second nature.

Thanks again for all your support and enthusiasm over the last year and a half. Go pick up a copy of THE FOURTH CHANNEL, give it a read, and let me know what you think of it. And please stick around this site. The best is yet to come.

~Jen
